Parker Pettengill and Matt Armentrout were camping in the Indian Creek when they found a dead body.

Now they are pulled into the world of the adults when they start to suspect Evans and Parker’s mom’s, Pam. Evans, Pam's new boyfriend, is to be blamed for having been at the crime scene on the day of the ’death’.
