The Chosen

Based in America during WWII, the story revolves around the Zionist Jewish family of Reuven and his father, and the Hasidic Jewish family of Danny. The two families are kept apart by tradition for the first 15 years of the boy’s life, but a coincidental meeting at the library with Danny and Reuven’s father starts a feud that is too last for a long time.

As the post-war period progresses, there is talk of creating a Jewish homeland,the Hasidic Jews are strongly against it, believing that only when the Messiah comes then they will be able to create a land. The Zionist’s and other Jews are all in support of a Palestine homeland, but Arab forces are terrorising Palestine villages and killing the Jews.

Will there finally be a land for the Jews? Or is it just a fantasy?
