New Kid

by Jerry Craft

Jordan Banks loves nothing more than drawing cartoons of his life in his sketchbook.

His life is miserable as he starts 7th grade as a lonely kid, but of course he has his trustworthy friend Liam who he doesn’t even know anything about, and his neighbourhood friends. In his new private school, he is torn between the two worlds of his old life and new life while not really fitting into either one.

Read this book and follow Jordan Banks as he tries to find a footing in this harsh reality.

It's the first book which has received Newberry award as a graphical novel.
