Carry On, Mr Bowditch

Nathaniel Bowditch is excited when he learns that he can resume school after the end of the war between Britain and America. However much to his dismay, he only receives two months of education, before being sold to ship makers.

After nine years in the bookkeeping industry, he is finally free again. But with no job, he is lost on what to do with his 21 year old life. However, he has much knowledge of languages such as Latin and French. His mathematics is abnormally good and is called a genius. He finds work on a merchant ship. Captain Price, is kind to him after Nat(Nathaniel Bowditch) redeems himself by proving brain Is worth more than brawn.
