The School Story

By Andrew Clements

ree

Creating is one thing but making it sold is another thing. Two sixth graders, Natalie and Zoe showed how the creation can be materialised to be chosen in the market...in the real world.

Natalie's story was not just a book. It's a sort of keepsake for her about her father because into the book, she put her wish of being around with her father who had passed away, leaving Natalie the wistful and plaintive memories . It's such a precious thing that she didn't want to be criticised by the editor and readers.

But the story she had written was too good to be ignored. Zoe could feel how desperately missing her father Natalie was. As her best friend, Zoe had to overcome all the odd feeling and obstacles.

You are going to be immersed in two kids solving the problem which they have to make the publishing company choose Natalie's book without noticing who the author is and what it is like when Natalie's mother and other adults come to know the identity of the author. Additionally, to see how Natalie and Zoe's feeling to each other is growing and how Natalie overcomes the sense of loss over her father is the one of the core points you can't miss.

Personally, while reading this book, I came to wish reading the story Natalie had written even though I knew that it was just one of the props in the story and it's not the point of this story. Just from the curiosity. I just wondered how perfect it was enough to intrigue everyone into reading whole book without stopping.

Now, it's your turn. Read it and feel what you want to feel.
